In October I got the chance to “test out” a Canon Digital SLR that I purchased for one of my designers in Romania. This was my first time using a DSLR, so the images aren’t as great as they could be. But it was still fun b/c I had the best model I could possibly have! Everything was shot on Auto mode. (Hey, it was my first time with a DSLR!)

Alison took Emma Kate on a trip to see Grandma, Grandpa, Jadon, Uncle Jay, and Aunt Donette for the weekend. On Saturday they went to the S.C. State Fair to see the animals. She loved it, of course. The last few photos are at Jadon’s house where she was dancing to a little Halloween Haunted Tree toy.

Emma Kate’s cousin Madeline had her birthday party on September 15. It was a very girly party and Emma Kate fit right in. I don’t think she realized she wasn’t as big or as old as the other girls there.

This large series of photos were taken by the incredible Shawna Herring (www.shawnaherringphoto.com). She came to our house and spent a couple hours with Emma Kate. I know the photos speak for themselves, but what they don’t say is how great of a person Shawna is. She’s instantly like-able. And months after the session, she’s still writing friendly emails checking on Emma Kate. Even if you don’t live in Georgia, go to her website to be treated. Emma Kate even has her own gallery there!
