Alison, her mom, and myself all have birthday within a week of each other in January. It has become tradition that the whole family gets together for good food one weekend in January. The last couple of year’s we’ve had it at Maggiano’s. Since Emma Kate’s baptism was the next morning, she was the guest of honor.
Here are some random photos that didn’t fit any where else but were too cute to leave out!

Tonight Emma Kate got to experience the wonderful taste and taunting aromas of rice cereal. It was basically water with a little bit of white stuff floating in it. While sitting in her high chair for the first time, EK made interesting faces but seemed to enjoy it as Alison was feeding her and I was juggling the camera and camcorder. Grandma and Grandpa Kirkland were there to watch!
Her bib, burb cloth, and outfit were covered in rice cereal. She changed into her Pizza Kitchen onesie that her cousins Jake and Megan gave her:
Lisa came over to party with Emma Kate and her parents for New Year’s Eve. I can’t say it was the most happening party in Georgia, but I’m sure we had more fun than anyone else in Williamson (which is not saying much, considering we have about 5 people in the town younger than 70!).
Emma Kate absolutely loves Lisa. Here are a couple shots w/ her “got milk?” shirt on.
