Labor Day
Emma Kate’s first Labor Day was not much different than any other day in her life so far. I don’t think she realized it was a holiday and that we were supposed to be eating hotdogs and hamburgers. So, she stuck to her regular – breastmilk and formula. Grandma and Grandpa stayed until about 6:30. Grandma made a delicious dinner with ham, biscuits, green beans, and my all-time favorite, mashed potatoes. Ashley Brookshaw, a friend who teaches with Alison at SHMES, hung out for a while at the house. She brought an adorable outfit. Thanks so much!

Lisa & Clara stop by
Lisa and her mother, Clara, are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Emma Kate had heard so many great things about them, she almost peed in her diaper (wait, she might have!) when she found out that they were coming by! They brought her the most beautiful dress from Strasburg. It will be adorable on her (of course!).

A visit from Steve & Erin
Today was a great day! We were visited by several of our good friends, and they were all getting to meet Emma Kate for the first time. Erin brought with her delicious sweet potato doughnuts! You know how to get to my heart!
Just having visitors is so nice when you’re stuck in a house for so many weeks straight. But having good friends over is much better. Thanks for such a fun visit!

Adorable?
Very rarely did I ever think a newborn was pretty, but yet I find myself in complete awe of the beauty of my own child. She’s the most adorable thing in the world. So I’m wondering is she only adorable because she’s my own daughter? Or is she just one of the rare truly beautiful babies? I just don’t know! I wish i had time to put a poll up so I could get your opinion. Until then I’m going to stick with my story that she’s adorable. How can you look at this picture and not think so?
